Founded in 1957, Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden is managed by Spice and Beverage Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture Sciences. It is located in Xinglong Tourist District, Wanning, southeast of Hainan Province,covering an area of 42 hectares. The Garden is mainly engaged inthe research and development of vanilla, black pepper, coffee, cacao and other typical tropical plants. After years of research and exploration, the integrated development model of “scientific research, product development and science demonstration”has been set up.With a collectionof over 3,000tropicalplants species, the Garden has nowbecomea comprehensive botanical garden which combines scientific research, popular science, production, processing, sightseeing and germplasm resources conservation.

Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden is situated at the foot of a hill and beside a stream, with fresh air, great views, fruit flavor and bird’s twitter. There is a sense of exhilaration about being in the Garden. Visitors are lingering on the Garden and enjoying natural tropical plants.
